Industrial Pathways – Llanfoist to Govilon Circular Walk (Walk 15)

Duration: 2 hours

Distance: 2.5 miles / 4.5km

Description: A wonderful short circular walk with a big story to tell and stunning views! The route follows the old railway line from Llanfoist to Govilon Wharf. This section is relatively gentle and is suitable for walkers of all abilities. The next section follows the canal towing path to Llanfoist Wharf. The path is again generally easy going. The last main part of the Walk is an exploration of the lower part of the incredible Llanfoist Incline. This section is strenuous and is optional – stout walking boots and a stick are recommended. The walk will end at Llanfoist Car Park which is just a 5 minute walk from the Wharf. Dogs on leads are welcome.
