Moorland, Manufacturing and Mining (Walk 6)

Description: Walk across the moorland taking in the view over the Usk Valley. Travel along Dyne Steel Incline and the Hills Tramroad where you will see Garndyrus Forge, the Water balance tower and other evidence of the industry that once claimed this land. Please bring a packed lunch.

A Splash of Water on the Rocks (Walk 16)

Distance: 7 miles / 11km

Description: Walking from the quaint village of Penderyn and whisky distillery, onto Moel Penderyn, heading towards Craig y Ddinas, before a refreshing stop at Sgwd yr Eira.  The walk takes in old farmstead which were seen on Secret Britain.  Sturdy walking boots are required as there are some steep inclines and terrain. Please bring a packed lunch.

Limited parking at the Red Lion, please car share or use alternative parking at lay-by near Penderyn whisky distillery.
